Peelings PHA – Peeling LACTOBIONIC (called summer acid) – Reduces hyperpigmentation. Stimulates the exfoliation process. Illuminates the skin, making pigment spots less visible. Increased skin hydration. Derived from plant extracts, lactobionic acid (4-O-β-galactopyranosyl-D-gluconic acid) belongs to the polyhydroxy acids. Formed by the oxidation of milk sugar (a disaccharide called lactose), it consists of gluconic acid and galactose linked through an ether linkage.
Polyhydroxy acids penetrate the skin gradually, layer by layer. Due to this fact, its use in peeling treatments does not cause a strong burning sensation and skin irritation.
Lactobionic acid is a gentle exfoliant that softens and resurfaces without causing irritation or redness. Thanks to the minimal irritating effect, it can be successfully performed even on sensitive acne-prone skin. Lactobionic acid helps to hydrate the skin. Properties
Properties: Lactobionic acid is a gentle exfoliant that softens and resurfaces without causing irritation or redness. Lactobionic acid has a considerable molecular mass and consists of relatively large molecules. As a result, it penetrates the skin gradually, layer by layer, which is less harmful than peels performed with glycolic or lactic acid. Thanks to gradual penetration, lactobionic acid does not cause intense burning sensation during treatment or complications after peeling. It has high biocompatibility with human skin. The skin easily adjusts to lactobionic acid; when all stages of chemical peeling are carried out properly, no peeling, itching or severe redness occurs. Lactobionic acid can function as a link between iron ions, providing a strong antioxidant effect. It removes free radical intermediates and protects the skin from dangerous UV radiation. Lactobionic acid inhibits matrix metalloproteinase, which is the main cause of skin ageing. They destroy the main components of the extracellular matrix of the skin, mainly collagen, causing loss of elasticity, deep wrinkles and facial sagging.
